MPG and ECUTune 1v5
 

I installed Stage 1v5 last year and noticed that my mileage dropped from 18-19 to 14 around town. Has anyone else experienced this? I've replaced o2 sensors and my PCV. Is there a possibility that the info on the chips is off?

My mileage is the same if not better now with the 1v5 than it was before.

Have you changed your fuel filter, or the spark plugs? Does it run fine otherwise?

I put these into both 92s, doing a 250 mile/week commute with mixed stop and go, hills, some highway. MPG stayed within .5/gal on both cars. I average about 20mpg during spring/summer. Dead of winter was 18-19 mpg. No huge power increase, but noticably smoother power delivery.
The tires make a difference- the heavy Tribecca wheels and 255/35-18 tires cut my mpg by 2 mpg from the 215/55/16 Contis on the 97.

The car runs fine. It does smell like it's running rich. I've replaced all the filters, plugs, o2 sensors, and the PCV.
