Info / News Regarding SVX Car Covers

I decided to see if I could acquire a SVX Car Cover for my "97, passing along the "old one" (in fair shape) to cover my '92, used for autocrossing and track days. So I travel down to the local Subaru dealer here in Winchester, VA to see if they could order one for me, knowing full well they would NOT have it in stock. I went armed with the "part number" obtained from here on the Network, which is "M0010PS000".

Naturally, the dealer did not have one, but they were willing to "look for one". When the fellow called me back, he said he had located the ONLY two left in the US, and they were at Indianapolis, Indiana. I now have one of those two, but thought I would let all know there is ONE LEFT in the US and where it is!!

I wish I had had the funds to buy both of them (at $115.97 with tax), but I didn't, and that would not have been right to hord the covers like that ..... So if you have ever thought about an official SVX (printed on the front of the cover) car cover, now is the time to order it - be quick ..............

no offense but those covers are crap! I've bought three and none have survived through a north east winter (ice would stick to it and tear a hole), I've learned my lesson and will invest in a higher quality cover.

I agree that the quality is not up to par with one I bought at COSTCO's for $39. But it fits, and does just fine "inside" my garage. I agree that I would not use one on a car parked outside. Actually, I don't think I would use any car cover outside since they collect moisture under the cover and wear the paint in the wind ....

They're not designed to be used outside in the winter. They're more of a garage type thing. I ruined one by using it outside i the winter too. :(
