urgent question
ok... so i called the towing guys today and figured out that if i can get a notorized letter out to my friend in chicago, he can go to the impound and get my car out without paying the towing fees, if he requests for a hearing... however, on this notorized letter, i must have my vin number...
QUESTION: how do i find my vin number if the title and registration are in the glove compartment? bigger question is how would i get my buddy to appear in front of the court? they can barely speak english.... should i just write them a letter and have them present the letter to the judge? argh... HELP |
if you can get to your car, the vin number is on the driverside, if you look down from the windshield.
the english part, i think they are required to have an interpreter ready for situations like that Kelli |
Your insurance company will know your VIN. If you've ever been to a dealership for service (even if it wasn't a Subaru dealership) they might have your VIN on file also.

Your insurance company will have your vin number and also go to the DMV but it won't be free.GOOD LUCK

Vin Number
Your cars vin number is on your insurance policy. It is also on your insurance card. I carry an extrat insurance card in my wallet, just incase.
I would have your friend write a letter and also appear in court. The court should have a translater there if you need one. Good Luck Steve |
