Calling all Vancouver/ Portland SVXers

So I know I see em out there driving around, but were are all you guys? Just trying to get a gauge on how many actual Vancouver/ Portland area members are here. If your a "lurker" here is a chance just to say "hi"

I know Mark is looking at putting together a Columbia River Gorge drive and was wondering how many locals would be interested. Come'on guys, we cant let those silly Seattle members think they outnumber us ;) :p

Ooooops -- Sorry Norm. I would check out Race Concepts. They have good ones for around $90. or so. If you have trouble finding their site, let me know. MotorSports has them too, but I think they are $125 or so. You could check with him though. :)

Thanks for the link and I cant wait for the next meet.

Shadabob 06-28-2007 01:53 AM

Lemke- keep and eye on the forum. I need to talk to Mark, but I am pretty sure we are gonna try for a meet here in Vancouver/ Portland area (everyone invinted of course!!), but we need to plan/ drive the route first. Also trying to figure out a date that will fit nicely between all the other events as not to interfere.

I haven't had time to even lurk for quite a while, I work up at Mt. Hood Meadows as a second (Very Fun!) job during the winter. I've had 6 days off since Dec. 7th . . .

I just received my Hub Tamer Elite, my bearings are due in on Monday. After I 'quiet down' the rear end, a cruise sounds like fun.

WestCoastSVX 06-29-2007 06:58 AM

Glad to see this idea is still going strong. As a "Seattle Area" driver, I'm excited to go down to the Gorge area for a cruise!

Eric - As far as schedule, as you know the Seafood Fest is first weekend of August. And we'll probably try for Fall Colors Tour 6 up here sometime in mid-October. I'm thinking sometime in the first half of September would be good timing for your tour, not to mention great weather. Up to you guys though. :)

ensteele 06-29-2007 09:41 AM

I am up for it as well. It sounds like a good one. :)

Welcome Lemke and Intelisevil

Hi,
Glad to hear from you guys. As Erik stated we are planning a drive in the Vancouver area soon, sometime in August between Dabob and the Fall Colors Drive (late August).
Don't have an exact route or date but a combo Gorge/ St. Helens drive would be a kick. After the holiday we'll have to take a pre-drive through the area, especially as the status of some of the roads are questionable.
More info in the next couple of weeks. Hope the meet you soon.
Mark:)

WestCoastSVX 06-30-2007 03:57 PM

If you guys could avoid doing it Labor Day weekend I should make it!
