timing issue
 

OK the timing belt was replaced buy the previous owner
when i bought the car the car was not running. i checked the timing the timing was four notches of on one side i fixed that the and after i replaced all the spark plugs the car idled and ran fine took it for a 12 mile test drive stopped at my moms. got back in and the car runs like the timings off again

could the problem be that the tensioner for the timing belt be getting wore out
