Hello all!

My wife and I are coming to Ireland for a vacation next month (8/7-8/24) and I'll be bringing Joe his 10th Anniversary license plate. Larry III has just put a post in the 10th Anniversary section where he mentions he has a number of plates available for sale. Is anyone interested in one. International shipping is courtesy of my luggage :).

Rich:

If you go to the "10th Anniversary Meet" Forum, Picture Thread, and click on Earthworms picture link, go to page 4, in the last pic the Japanese gentleman is holding one. LarryIII had them done for the meet.

Actually, Todd I envy you. I'd love to visit Ireland and it's definately on my list of places to go. I lived so close to Ireland for 26 years and never made the trip.
I know you'll have a great time.
It's too bad they can't make decent whisky over there;)
Now what did I do with that flame suit:eek:

Thanks Todd, stick me down for one. If you have a large case, a few other trinkets would be welcome too. (A set of front rotors would also come in handy ;) )

Actually we do make whiskey over here. We make it scarce!

Joe

PS Colin. Flame suits don't work over here, what with the rain and all.

:D :D

Todd

Looking forward to seeing you. That license plate looks ideal for the back of the car. The Gatso speed cameras may have a hard time figuring it out.:) :)

Also, if any of our UK friends are in Ireland during that time, the door is open, the kettle is on the fire, and invitation in the post. Let's have a meet!!

Otherwise, Todd and I will have to taste all the whiskey on our own!

Joe:rolleyes:

Hello Joe

At this point I'm only bringing two plates along for the ride as well as some video footage.

We depart Detroit 8/6 and arrive in Dublin 8/7 at 10:45am. We roam your beautiful countryside for 17 days and then head back stateside. Tride to rent an SVX, but the agent looked at me with a vacant stare after I requested it.

Looking forward to meeting any and all of you!

Todd

Don,t tempt me Joe. A few days on your rainswept Isle sounds very nice. Unfortunately, my Mother-in-Law lives just down the road, which gives me a good reason to stay away.

Hope the second plate is for me, thanks Todd.

If you are interested Joe, I have heard of a burgandy 1998 reg? for £3k. May be cheaper than a new 'box?

They used to say Drogheda is only an hour away from Dublin, but with today's traffic, it's miles away now.

Don't tell her you are coming. Better yet, bring her daughter home for a visit, and you have to go elsewhere "on business". Busy place, Ireland.

What about this '98 for 3K. Tell me more, before I fix the box again.

Joe

Sent you with a pm with the details

Thanks Andy

Looks a lot like a 92 car from the description. Perhaps it is a Japanese import, and was registered in the UK in '98.

It certainly looks OK, but you know how costly they are if things go wrong.

What am I saying?? Of course you don't. Nothing has gone wrong with your Silver Surfer.

Silly me.

I will stick with the IBP. The devil you know....

If I go to the market for another SVX, I will be needing a '96 or later car with low miles. Otherwise, I will just be my normal silly bugger, and keep looking for my Maserati Quattroporte. More horses, more speed, more doors, an erotic clock, more leather inside than inside a pair of gloves. Just what every right thinking Irishman needs.
And more expense. But don't tell my missus about that. I will be selling her the idea of it on the basis that it has 4 doors, and is an Italian Mondeo.:) :)

She is not that gullible, but it looks plain enough to fool her unless she looks inside.
