Question.
How do you remove the crank sprocket when there is half a key stuck in it?
|
I swear I'm going to crack this thing in two.
|
We've got something resembling a cork popper on there. Some peices of the sprocket broke off. Barely budging, but it has give from side to side. Thought about using a gear puller, but the thing isn't threaded.
|
Two things are obvious at this point.
1) Danny owes me a new crank gear. 2) I'm taking the Bronco home =| |
Still goin at it.
|
Well it's off, and boy do I feel dumb. I know the pulleys and junk are supposed to just slide right off, this thing was baked on like serious.
I think it's because of the time my water pump seized, and I was drivin around with an overheating engine cuz I didn't know what was going on. I'm sure that moment was detrimental to many parts of the vehicle. Pics coming up when I get home. Going out to dinner now. |
well gee.. glad to be of help... or something.. =]
|
What more can you say?! :D

I guess we were using some sort of valve tool.
So here is the plan. New sprocket, seal, keythingy, pulley, and the timing will be smack on this time. Tranny cooler should ease the load on the system and keep heat at bay. Thanks guys you've been a big help.:p |
