im pumped, i didnt take to many runs, and given the circumstances i could have been much deeper into the 15's. It was in the low 90's, everyone was running slow. The left lane is a 99 GC8 coupe

hmmm. What did it run with the auto. I ran a 15.6 with my auto, but it was like 70deg that day. As soon as I get my Loyal back together Ill take my SVX to the strip to see what it runs with the 5speed.

you dont happen to have the slip from that run would you? Rob was running 16.7's all day long....

Rob's car = slow :p :p

Make sure you put the slips up in the suby 1/4 mile registry - there aren't many for the svx

My SVX= STOCK with a small exhaust leak. The problem is the transmission, and I TOLD YOU THESE CARS ARE SLOW OFF THE LINE! I TOLD YOU! HAHAH!

They're not all slow off the line - my wifes svx jumps off the line like a hair throttled pontiac (much faster than mine - pisses me off to no end)

Phast SVX 06-22-2003 04:32 PM

chris has been racing his SVX for many years, and is a vey good racer. He has not broken the 16 mark either. I want to see the timeslips for these 15 second runs!!!

I'd say something is up. If Chris hasn't been under the 16s, you must have done SOMETHING.

I've met subafreak - I guarantee he is not making this up. Maybe elevation and/or temperature could explain your times, I know it explains chris's times.

I have no idea what the altitued is there but I don't think it's to high. That was the one and only time it ran that, it was the first time I ever ran a car at any strip and did it mostly to prove to my freind that it was faster than his V8 Ranger W/35inch tires. When I went to the strip last summer it was running 15.7's and a few 16's, must be getting slow in it's old age.

I have a 15.7 timeslip somewhere, but i could only find a 15.8. All stock, even the slush-box. :D

im at 180k miles and some weird sounds with the engine :) id say your 15.6 was quite nutz. The info on it is really off from the rest of the slips, you must have a twin turbo edition :D jk
