Finally
I finnally got my 5-speed swap finished up last night, It sure was nice to have it on the road again, I've not got to REALLY try it out yet, as I have a few bugs to work out of it, such as the crossmember I made is touching the side of the tranny, which is sending a rattle/vibration throught the car, had to leave the big heat sheild off as the driveshaft was hitting it a little(can probably dent it a little and put back in), and I need to put my wheels and tires back on it(they're on my 94 & the 94's are on it now) the one's I have on it are worn out, and have a lot of tire noise.
I need to get it lined up, and still have to cut the plate on the console to accept the shifter boot( was waiting to make sure it was going to work) ;) I drove it to work this morning, other than the crossmember problem and the belt screaching a little, it seamed to operate fine. Hope to have the bugs out soon, It sure makes all the work seam worth it, just driving it:D :D |
Congrats, Huck! You are now the envy of every SVXer who has ever dreamed of a 5-Speed. I'll have to take some time soon to come up and see it (drive it?). :D

I put the 5-Speed in my 92 LS-Tour, which is AWD
My 94 L is FWD, which would have made for a much easier time swapping to a 5-speed, as it would not have the rear diff problems, and no driveshaft problems either. Same goes for you to Bill, if you're over this way, You can take it for a spin  |

I'll certainly look forward to coming through sometime, and taking a peek and test drive. |
