remove the throttle body
 
There m ust be a "how too" to remove the throttle body. I have the PCV valve off & cleaned, can't get it started back on sooooooooooooo, I'm going after some room by removing the throttle body. I know I have seen the step by step before, can't find it.:mad::mad::mad:

Removed the throttle body & was able to reinstall the PCV valve, what a PITA!!!

If I only do this every 12 years, OK.......

All my idle issues went away. The throttle body was in need of cleaning, that's next. There were no signs of cracked or brittle vac hoses, life is good, especially an hour into happy hour:D:D

Wow I'm glad you figured it out. I had written out about 99% of a how-to for you on my work comp, but got distracted and left for home without actually posting it. Sorry :/

One note: You didn't replace the throttle body gasket, so if you notice vacuum leak symptoms in the future, that would probably be a likely culprit.

Thanks for the tip on the TB gasket. I'll definitely keep it in mind.:)
