subaru's servo-breaks

I was testing my '09 outback ABS brakes to show my friend how an ABS it's meant to work. Next day, the brake pedal become harder than before. If I suddenly and strongly press the brake pedal, the effect takes about 1 second to begin braking the car. I have the same problem with my 94 SVX. I already confirm the vacuum on the big drum. The brake pedal is even harder without the vacuum. So what you guys think is the problem?
