I just bought a brand new 3.0R premium outback.

Still have my SVXs, though... I can't help myself. I see six cylinders and that starry logo and I seem to wake up the following morning with a thin wallet and a new car I'm not sure how I got?

Really *really* nice car though.

interest has died again. someone will just call and probably take it, which is fine... i'll consider offers too. be nice to see this car go to a good home..

Mctaff : i think the new outback premium is a good choice. thats what i will be looking at... but i might not get a brand new... as long as its current shape, that will do me :)

New transmission

Hi Berger

I purchased a Grey/Black 1992 SVX 6 months ago from Sydney and it is in need of a transmission build.

Could I get the details of who & where you had your transmission done.

I would greatly appreciate this info.

Thanking you in advance

so now what to do with myself...

post here less...

Going to Europe mid next year for a while....

upon return.. i think ill settle for either a 2005-2006 outback premium.. or a late 90's Chevrolet Camaro convertable... they are so sexy!

I would like to say thank you to everyone here for your help.. support, and i have shown my support for the forums too and made my donation.
Nice to get to know everyone. My car has gone to a good owner.. and i told him about the site.

Cheers everyone.. I may return

Hi

The name escapes me at the moment but Subaru used to send the transmissions down to a place in Melbourne for them to be rebuilt. I think there was a post on here a few years ago (! - shows how long I have been away from Sydney!) but if you call the service department of Penrith Subaru in Sydney (they were always SVX nuts) or the SVM dealerships (the one on the Pacific Highway at Roseville would know) that could help.

Otherwise, PM JDW-SVX and ask him to look in the service receipts in my old SVX since it had had the transmission rebuilt.

Speaking of which, where is he??? I hope you are looking after my baby!! ;)

James
