I have a "G" clamp with a screw through it to fit a camera thread and it is handy it is handy. ;)

It's pretty cool and low cost too.

Pretty slick... although I think my setup might be too heavy for that :(

the thicker the wire, the better. i used 6 gauge solid core wire, and it works perfectly. I hooked it on the SVX and took a few videos, my camera is pretty old, so the quality sucks. other than that the vids came out pretty well.
