#M Vinyl car wrap .. anyone done an SVX ?
I'm coming up to a paint job (original paint not bad at all, but you know .. want to keep the car looking nice). There seem to have been advances in the vinyl material used to wrap cars (3M makes vinyl film expressly for cars) that I am thinking make a good paint job seem pretty expensive in comparison.
My untested assumption is that it must work pretty well judging by the number of high-end cars I've seen here in Vancouver that have had the wrapping done (Nissan GTR, several expensive Mercedes coupes, a Ferrari, etc.) Any experience or opinions to offer ? |

I saw it a on a 360 modena at the Canadian International Auto show.
it'll cost about 3500-5000 the guy said, looks cool but i prefer the gleam and shine of a well done paint job the issue with the 3M wrap is that if it gets scratched or keyed, cant be patched |

I have been thinking off and on about having a black painted stock grill wrapped with some kind of pattern. I don't really know if that is possible or not but I think it could look good if done right.
