My front Grille project
Well i have decided to attempt fabricating a new front grille for the svx, its going to have similar appearence to the smallcar grille :D ,
In the first stages i have started building the grille from scratch using balsa wood, after i have the shape i want i will use it to create a fibregalss mould :D here are the initail pics of the balsa wood build up. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...stom%20grille/ |
*crickets*
Should be interesting. Be sure to keep us up to date on your progress. |
starting to take shape
well i did much work today... on the grille, i should have been studyin for my end of semester exams, i have one tomorrow
this was more fun hehe, Its come along way in just one day, all gaps were filled ect, and it is starting to take shape!!!! to get both sides the same required hours of sanding. This is how it looked at midday today after filling and sanding: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...e/DSC02601.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...e/DSC02602.jpg And this is how it looks at 6pm this evening, there is a thin piece of balsa that you can see that has just been glued to the bottom lip, this is because the initial curve didnt quiet line up.... also i am realy fussy when is comes to small imperfections!!!, check it: http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...e/DSC02603.jpg http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b2...e/DSC02604.jpg |
