Clicking
Hey, I thought I'd run this by you guys and see what you thought the damage was. Whenever I make hard or semi hard turns, I hear a clicking coming from the front of the car, I'm pretty sure it's near the wheels themselves. Does this sound like anything to you guys? I figured I'd check with you before I paid $60 to have some guy tell me the same thing. If anyone recognizes the problem and can let me know I'd appreciate it, I'd like to see how much this one is going to cost me. =) Cathc y'all later.

First guess would be your CV joints.
But get your mechanic to check it out just in case. :) VK |
CV, PS (most likely your O ring though), Axels would be my guess. Bring it by local shop and they can look it up for you.

Ever come to a conclusion on this one? Hopefully an inexpensive one?! I have the same noise coming from my right front - hoping it was just loose brake pads from the last brake work I had done with Beav.
Thx |
Check the center caps, most of them are loose and will click. Could also be a rock in the tread, etc.
L8AGN - call the shop and set a time to bring it in and I'll take a peek to see what's going on. All work has a 12/12 warranty. |
The fact that it only does it during hard and semi-hard turns would lead me to CV joints also. If it was a loose center cap it would do it all the time, even when straight, no?

If it's a CV joint, Marty at Raxles.com seems to offer the best product for the best price.. plus he throws in a really cool sticker :)
