This Guy's from Krypton.

Can you believe how some people try to take advantage of people who don't know anything about a car. I'm tempted to e-mail this goomer and just post five pages of HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Hey, you can ask all you want. You can always come down, but you can never go up. Caveat Emptor, carpe diem, huevos rancheros, etc.... ;)

So let's take a long hard look at this: He's trying to sell a '92 for '96-'97 prices?!? No need to send him yuks, just send him five or six links to other '92's for sale and see if it sinks in. :D The only way anybody with their head screwed on straight can ask $13K for a '92 is if it has, ohhhh, 100 miles on the odo, and I don't think one of those will be coming up for air any time soon.

In his defense, I think he put an extra 0 while typing.

Or he is using Zula Dollars which equals to about 3000 USD.

Some people really know how to joke. I thought my car was not selling because I priced it too high. Now I feel happy

I thought about a type-o also, but, the last one on the list was asking 12,000.00 for a '92.

Well, like they say, there's one born every minute -- maybe these guys will find one.

At least the wheels are on correctly! :)

EveryShadeofBlue 02-18-2002 07:15 PM

$65,000 SVX

Wait a sec folks! This one is even better. Straight from Joe Spitz's SVX site:

This guy is on major drugs!

Roughly 4 times the blue book value, from a dealer.

Maybe these folks are trying to single-handely create a rare car market for SVXes.

$ 65,000 SVX

Well, at least he told us that the price was not a typo. When you look at a zero alone, and know that it is worth nothing, look what it does when you add it to the end of a price. I hope this guy doesn't want to sell anytime soon. One thing for sure, it makes me smile when I look at what I paid for my car.

:D

Seraph 02-18-2002 08:50 PM

All right, the price on my 94 L has risen to 85,000. If he can ask for 65, I am going to ask a little more. :D

Who are they kidding? For 65k I can get four 97Lsi and still have some money to make them shine.

I, for one, have always been in favor of having the privilege to ask any amount of money in exchange for whatever item I wish to sell. If you choose not to accept my offer, you may counter-offer; I may accept or decline. Quite a simple concept. Would any of you swap your perhaps less than pristine '92 for say a '97 Civic because the Bluebook value is equal? Poop on the Bluebook! Sure, all of us WANT to find the '97 stored in the Pennsylvania barn since new & pay $5,000. Yet none of us would feel guilty about selling the same car a day later for $25,000. I have no problem with my car escalating in value, & why shouldn't it?
A ride in an SVX - Priceless!

Ron.

Opps! Post #666 - The devil made me do it!

deadeye95 02-18-2002 09:52 PM

Well, at least he can brag to his friends that he's selling his car for 65K.

I could put Ferrari badges on my car and sell it as one to 99.9% of all Americans (it is brilliant red). Just have to make up the part about a flat 12, with 2 pistons per spark plug.

SSSVX 02-19-2002 01:11 AM

HAHAHAHA

The Jeff's $65K sounds way too ridiculous. Remember? If I have the money to buy is better to buy the $50K new '97LSi on ebay some times ago. :D

The Randy's $13.5K. We may need to contact the seller and see what he says. It may be possible or you don't know what is under the hood. It may have a twin turbo or any updated new tranny or any super stereo. :D But, it's still expensive. If that one is only a stock, it is same color as mine but mine doesn't have tinted windows but have a spoiler!! And, recently new fix transfer clutch for the awd and etc w/ just 58K. So mine can kill a better price.... HAHAHA :D

Uncamitzi 02-19-2002 03:18 PM

$$$$ Good going!!!

I'm glad that they are asking that much. Makes me feel that the 3000+ i'm spending on the tranny is worth it!!! (now for the 10,000.00 paint job)

Interesting -- this is the same guy who says that he has THREE SVXes and is about to buy a fourth:

He also said the "tire rods" had been replaced. Shades of PeePee????
