What makes you say that? Looks like the typical clear coat peel.

I am fairly sure he is talking about the "paint" on the headlights, covering the fog lights and the waterfall grill.

The hood is definitely clear coat peal.

Compleate paint job, new wheels, new fog lights, heaven know what the inside looks like ( I suspect terrible as he took no pictures of it ) . Did I miss the mileage? Needs a lot of work, could bring $800? What state is that in?

Got note from the dealer read below
I asked. Condition miles. Asked for interior pictures
All of our vehicles are sold as is with no guarantee. We have no mechanical knowledge nor do we have them inspected. How we acquire these vehicles is that they have been towed by Stockton Police Department, California Highway Patrol or San Joaquin County Sheriff for one reason or another and the owner failed to pick them up. The method we use to determine that we are going to sale as appose to junk (EX: Pick N Pull) is we start them if they start and run we sale them. Therefor I can't answer anything in regards to mechanical condition but the mileage is 171,438. I hope this helps.
Stockton))

I live in Connecticut it would be almost impossible for me to drive 6000 miles just to come and look at the inside and hear it run I'm sorry.net wrote:

It is at 1800 E. Channel St. Stockton, Ca. 95205 for inspection. You can view the inside and hear it run. A lien sale is paperwork processed through DMV for ownership of*vehicles that are unclaimed by the owners.

Re: another poor SVX

That's pretty common. After so many days, depending on the state, A vehicle is considered "abandoned" and you can start the process of getting it retitled. This is common practice for shops when people refuse to pay a bill or can't afford their bill and won't sign the car over directly. While a mechanic lien is different, the general specifics of the process are nearly the same. In Wisconsin it was 60 days I believe. From there you submit a form including the VIN. They contact the current owner by mail and if there is no response, they proceed with issuing a new title. Most municipalities would hold their own "Police Auction" in which the cars would be sold in the same way. However, it seems selling them cheap to a dealer of some sort is common in the last 5-10 years.
