Alex,

Welcome to the site. Here is the US, we have no places where we can go to get our 0-100km/h (or 0-62mph) measured. However, dragstrips that measure the 1/4 mile (~0-400m) are common.

Based on magazine reviews of our cars over the years, a 0-100km/h time of 7.2 seems to be the norm.

There is a device called a 'G-Tech' that you can use to measure 0-60 times (amongst other things). I have one rolling around in the back of the Justy.

I played with it for a couple days, but the thing has like twenty functions and one button. Without a manual I really couldn't figure it out. :p

Wish I did one of these tests before the accident... I was always courious about this... Maybe when it's rebuilt I'll find out...

Good to see a member from Russia on here!!! :):)

No kidding. I wonder how many SVXs were sold in Russia. It can't be that many. :)

Chiketkd 07-15-2004 09:47 AM

I know about G-Techs but didn't want to mention them as the results can be inaccurate.

Maybe none. I think he said his car is JDM.

I think maybe JDM imports are popular in the former USSR because they are RHD like in the UK.

Fast for a SVX.

alexgu 07-18-2004 08:23 PM

in my automobile are made the following changes-
exhaust HKS.
computer APEXi.
RSM APEXi.
Hydraulic converter making it possible to start with 5000 rm\.sec. is removed catalyst
it is displaced cutoff on the revolutions to 7300.

Chiketkd 07-18-2004 08:37 PM

Those are some pretty good mods there! I never knew APEXi made a performance ECU for the JDM SVX...

Plus you'll have 3.700 gears in your car since it was imported from Japan...

What was your trap speed (terminal speed at end of 1/4 mile race)? Do you have a pic of your time slip?

GreenMarine 07-19-2004 06:01 AM

WOW, that is pretty fast... That APEXi ECU is probably the APEXi S-AFC... I used to want to wire one of those in but decided against it when I heard that the instructions were really bad and almost not in English at all... Didn't want to go hacking up the wires in my ECU then get stuck ya know :rolleyes:

Man, STi's and EVO's are popular over there?? I'd really like to go to russia sometime. Always have wanted to go, I just don't know what there is to do over there that and I can't speak russian... (Used to beable to read it and write alittle though  )

a 5000 RPM launch in the 4EAT must feel evil.
