Rear Subframe, preferrably in MN
 

I just picked up a '97, and the LR trailing arm has been liberated from the subframe by Minnesota road salt.

This car is in pretty rough shape, so I'm not looking to spend much (like, probably less than it would cost to ship such a part). But if someone is within a small road trip, and has a parts car that they don't mind rendering immobile, this might work.

Ideally, I'd grab the whole suspension, knuckles, brakes, maybe diff, axles....


I'm west of Duluth, MN, and I have family in the Twin Cities, so I fairly regularly make a trip that way.

I got a whole rear sub-frame from these guys in California for my '97 which suffered a similar fate here in Quebec. The frame was like new and even shipped to NY was quite affordable.

Why would you put ANY type of money into a rotted car. Save 500 bucks up and buy an auction insurance car from out west and have it shipped. Then use yours for mechanicals/interior, plastics etc, and sell off the extra parts. You will have a NET profit (yes you will end up with a rust free car and have MADE profit)if you do this, and no rust to deal with. then don't winter drive it. The car will last your lifetime that way.
