Subwoofer boxes.

Seems like there's alot of interest in having a box made.
So far my price has been 250base (+ whatever other tibbits you want done) for members to have a box made ( most of it is cost of supplies) + shipping.

If there is enough actual guaranteed interest, i will be willing to drop the price. Or else the time and money that goes into a box is takes quite a bit to be worth it.

Since the warm weather is coming up i will be able to start again.

For now how about starting a list of people who are interested and once thats established i'll try and come up with a reasonable price based on interest.

here's a link to the boxes i've made for the svx in the past

List so far:

Yep, that's the one. It's like all plastic and no carpet or something.

I'm interested when you get started on it in the warmer weather.

lol ok, i think plastic dip does a good job at mimicing plastic look. Do you have a set of subs you are using for this setup? i will need to know for making the appropriate dimensions.

Re: Subwoofer boxes.

I was thinking of using two 12" subs. If this design proves to be too difficult or too pricy, I have an alternatative. It's this one:

but I was thinking about doing four 10" subs instead of two 12" subs for this one.

In other words, chalk me up as interested lol

Re: Subwoofer boxes.

Either are doable, in the end it will be personal preference. for both, you want to be able to hide your amp underneath correct?

Yeah, I was thinking in the spare wheel area but then I thought about water damage or something so if it's possible, I'd like to just hide it behind the rest of the setup.

Re: Subwoofer boxes.

So the setup for the first picture works the best, can hide the amp between the box and the rear seats.

Sounds very reasonable. Dayle at MotorsportWarehouse has his on sale for $690.00 each (down from $780.00) without speakers.

I could be wrong but I believe this configuration will cancel out the sound waves produced by the subs. They need a much greater angle away from each other to effectively function.

Re: Subwoofer boxes.

for a setup like that the subs are usually aimed at the back or front of the car, not at eachother.
