Windshield rubber?
I was just out running my SVX and noticed the rubber trim that runs around the windshield is all wrinkly up the sides right where it suppost to lay flat on the glass, and it wasn't like this a week ago? Anyone else have this problem? Is it easy to get a new one installed or does it get glued in with the windshield?
What do I do it looks like crap. |
paint it orange or take it from the dumba$$ who has one parked at your garage. He'll never notice.

One thing that I've tried is to get very thin plastic, like the immitation "credit card" material in junk mail, and cut a "J" hook into it and the push it in between there and dig out the crap. The card will go down in an inch or more, but it slides in easily. It does help with the wrinkling. |
Thats all good but what do you do when it's already F'd up.
I could practice changing it on Proj.007 Found the piece on Suby parts It like $27. and called the Damn rubber thing, or somthing like that. I just want to know if anyone has changed this before? |
Laughing my ****ing ass off the damn rubber thing! That is good secret man. Seriously tho you can change that out with a mid range heat gun the old part should lift off without having to move the windsheild just be careful not to move the windsheild so it stays centered. Then the next rubber frame should come with peel off and adhezive on it to stick over and then let it dry a while before you drive it ok?
