Vented rear rotors? Do Europe or Australia

or Japanese market svx's have vented rear rotors? Just bought some vented rear rotors (Eurorotors brand, made in Italy) that the local parts place had listed for my 96 svx. Of course everything went well until the caliper wouldn't fit over the too thick disk. Every other dimension was the same though, hat height etc. So which market came with vented rear disks, and how do I get the right calipers?

Although they are shown in the WSM, the Aust model does not have them.

The plot thickens ( or vents). Check out the kvr site

page 191
The is a upgrade on subimods for an impreza solid rotor to upgrade to a legacy turbo vented rear rotor using the legacy's caliper also.

Legacy GT 2005 & Outback H6 2003 have all the same dimensions for rear rotors except 18mm vented versus 10mm for solid svx rears. Maybe one of their rear calipers would fit.

I *think* the UK model SVX has ventilated rear disks. There's a guy in the European forum breaking a UK car at the moment. He might have the parts you need.

old thread, I know..

I was just curious if anyone in the US has put vented rear rotors on their SVX and if so, how they went about it ? ?

Thanks:D

I can get the rotors easily in Montreal. The calipers you would have to get overseas. The Legacy calipers do not fit. I am not sure, but I don't think you need the complete caliper, just the part that holds the pads.

My 1996 UK spec SVX has ventilated rear discs as standard, think the pads are the same as imprezas/legacys.:)
