Red paint ideas...
 

Ok, so the new brilliant red car is getting some new doors and therefore paint. I was toying with the idea of shaving the rear spoiler and painting the trunk lid and roof black, factory style but I'm just not sure. I figured a poll would be the best way to sort this out. The car's also going to get black rims with a machined lip.The options are factory all red with a spoiler, all red without the spoiler, red with black roof/trunk without the spoiler, or red with black roof/trunk with the spoiler.

Pics would be much appreciated if anyone's got those combinations.

I picked option #3, but while you're at it I think you should also slide back the spoiler just a tad, until right before it would start to tilt at the back.

Red, black roof and trunk without spoiler. Two tones look best when they're as clean as possible.

Almost all SVXs look fantastic with the black roof and trunk. (and a bit of tint) Bolder colors look even better that way.

Without a spoiler is OK... but my taste is such that it looks just a tad unfinished.

I would go with a black spoiler, mounted further rearward, to emphasize the back angle.

It's his (redlightningsvx). Yea it's pretty much perfect. His cardomain says the black is actually the black mica from the ebonys, not the normal plain gloss black that the stock 2-tone ones have. Looks great.

The black isn't from the Ebony. It's a tricoat Black glass flake Toyota trim color. It's REALLY sparkly.
