Who can I convoy with?
 

Just curious who would be on my way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Reading, PA?

If I followed MapQuest's directions I would be passing through:

North Dakota
Minnesota
Wisconsin
Illinois
Indiana
Ohio
and finally PA.

We'll be heading out from Milwaukee probably Thursday night or Friday morning. Its about 14 hours from here so we haven't decided if it should be a one day trip or two.

I was thinking of turning it into a 3 day trip to get there. More relaxed. I could stretch it into a 2 day trip but that leaves no room for potential issues.

I could probably get to Milwaukee in 1 day non-stop.

PM me your 3 day plan with what cities you planned to spend the night and I'll talk it over with the wife and see if we can shape our trip to match.

I don't actually have a plan as of yet. It's still open to whatever I decide this weekend.

I will be discussing the route with my passenger this weekend while we install my Stebro.

Duluth MN to Reading PA
 

Hey you can meet up with me again, Dave :)

I'd like to leave my house (Duluth, MN) Thursday in the late afternoon and go to Milwaukee, then make the long haul from there. I have friends in Milwaukee, so I have a place to stay. From Milwaukee, I'd like to leave early Friday morning, to make an arrival at Reading somewhere around 8-9PM.

hmmm...Milwaukee to Reading in 1 day? 800+ miles? I think I'd rather be past Milwaukee by friday morning.

Steve, what about staying in Milwaukee Wednesday night and heading out with us Thursday. We plan on leaving in the afternoon and driving through Toledo and staying on the Eastern outskirts of Toledo. Then on Friday, we'll have a nice 8 hour drive to Reading.

Then You and Earthworm can meet up in MN and travel to Milwaukee. We have a couch Earthworm could use if he doesn't mind big dogs. Ask Earl, he's been here.

ouch...that's a very demanding drive!

I would have to leave Winnipeg 8 hours prior to whenever Stevebsy wants to leave. Then keep driving for at least another 8 hours to get to Milwaukee...sleep...then drive the rest of the way to PA in the morning/afternoon/evening.

What about making it an easy four day trip?

Day one, head to MN and meet up with Stevesby
Day two, leave MN and head to Milwaukee meet up with me
Day Three, Leave Milwaukee and head to Toledo
Day Four, Leave Toledo, meet up with Todd and Nick (and hopefully others) and arrive at Reading early Friday afternoon.

Stevesby hasn't said if he's willing to leave a day early and stay in Toledo with us or not.

Whenever we wake up. Its only 8 hours from Toledo so we aren't under too much pressure to leave early.

Here's what I have to work with:

Winnipeg, MB to Duluth, MN = 8 Hours
Duluth, MN to Milwaukee, WI = 8 Hours
Milwaukee, WI to Toledo, OH = 6 Hours
Toledo, OH to the finish line = 8 Hours

I'm off work April 6 to April 16. I would have liked to leave on the 9th (wednesday) and get there the friday evening (around 8 or so). I still have no idea what the final plan will be.

Hmm.. I'm still not sure if I can swing that much time off. I'll see what I can do though.
