cant lock my svx...
 

hey guys
i broke my remote transmitter for the keyless entry. now if i lock my car it wont let me unlock it with the key. i turned off the security botton but that didnt do anything either. anyone know what i can do so i can still lock my car untill i get a new transmitter. thanks

Do you mean the lock won't "physically" turn? Or, that your alarm goes off once you've unlocked the car?

If it's the former, there's something mechanically wrong with your door lock -- perhaps an actuator (did your doors lock correctly when you used your transmitter?).

If it's the latter, your turning off the security switch should've done the trick.

JakeSVX's passenger door requires you to 'jiggle' the key alittle to make it work... My trunk is the same way. Perhaps if you try that...

my driverside door would not unlock for the longest time. the problem was with the lock. the lock part was broken. it was a pretty cheap fix-getting a new key. the door was taken apart a few times to check the mechanics behind it the first three or so times it got stuck. and everytime it would be okay for a while then it would lock up again. try getting a new key made. this could be your problem, at least hopefully.
