Power Mode isnt working???

So, I went to wire up the power mode mod, and I cant get it to work... period. It comes on when I mash the gas down, but nothing happens at all when I ground out that pin. Any suggestions as to what Im doing wrong? Patrick had it wired to a JDM switch before I got the car, and took it out when I got it. I have no manual button on my shifter, he cut the wires to make the power switch before, could this be the problem? I dont see how though, theres nothing going to the pin at the tcu. Maybe the manual wires HAVE to be hooked up??? Any help would be great. Thanks -Dennis

You are saying that the previous owner had the power mode mod working, but it doesn't work for you? Is that right?

Check there are no error codes stored in your TCU. Some error conditions prevent the power mode from engaging.

Check you are looking at the right connector. Check cruise control is off. Ground pin A4 and move the stick through each position. Try grounding pin A6 and see if your manual mode works.

Re: Power Mode isnt working???

Yes he had put in a JDM switch, and then removed it when I bought the car.

You say check for errors, if there was a problem, wouldnt it not engage when I mash down on the gas? The light comes on when I do this.

Does it matter if cruise is on? And does it matter what gear you are in?

It works (and the light comes on) in forward gears.
Cruise control turns the light off.
