Pics of the racer are now up
Don't look if your a purist, but please remember that I have a complete, bone stock SVX sans Konis and a tranny cooler in the garage. This car would never have made it back to the road after being parted for 6 months.

It'll be an E Prepared autoxer this year to get sorted out, then we hope to move to Solo 1 events (hill climbs, etc). My ultimate dream is the rally Newfondland but to make that a reality WE NEED SPONSORS!!!:D |
i love the shift knob!
|
Bob,
You have embarked on quite a challenge!! Good Luck!!! And when it it is finished, please come down and autocross again with us! You will blow their doors off! Harry |
Ben,
You need to remove the airbag, it weighs about 5 pounds, plus you can sell it on here to help fund your mods..... |

Just 4 torx bits (with a hole in them) to remove the airbag, then unplug it, you can run the SVX steering wheel without the airbag

purist here. looking at it leaves a small pain in my heart. :(
|
Ken,
I would agree with you IF it had been a road worthy vehicle, however since it was destined for the scrap yard, I think this is a much better fate! ;) |
fair enough. :)

Looks a lot like the one that is stripped down in my garage Ben. It however is a junker not a racecar:D

Anybody know how to take out the quiet steel that lines the rear seat, trunk and tranny tunnel? From my understanding is there is some sort of insulation in between it and the unibody and this steel is only there to make it quieter, like the new Ford PUs.:) |
