Ok, I will keep the SVX

After much deliberation, I have decided to keep my
black '96 SVX LSi, and not sell it. After driving it this
past week, I just really like the way it drives. I also
like the way people give me a puzzled look everytime
I'm on the road, like "what the hell is that car". A lot
of those looks come from Import racers.

I think we've all been there. Thank god I kept it. :D

Congrats!

We knew you'd come around!

I should have written, "Thank god we've kept them."

I think without the meets and the help that the yahoo club and SVX Network, I probably would have been too frustrated with the car and sold it a long time ago. But thanks to all of you guys, I still have my SVX and met with a lot of cool and interesting people. Everyone has made a hugh difference in what the Club has become. Thank you everyone!

You've made the right decision. :)

Good choice "aas" (gosh, that handle is gonna get me in trouble some day -- it's natural to want to begin the "s's" after the "a." Perhaps you'll let us know your real name, so we won't get in trouble :) )

I remember when Kevin was ready to chuck it all and send the SVX back to the Seven Sisters. I'm glad he decided to hang in there (you ARE coming to Reading in 2K2 aren't you Kevin? Bring aas with you! :D).

You'll find that, somewhat like a computer, it's a "love" when it works, and a "hate" when it don't, but, it's mostly love.

This is the only car I've owned that I still don't get tired of looking at. I sit on my porch and stare at it for hours -- running up and down the smooth lines, thinking "this is a damned piece of art! It should be in a museum! But then, I couldn't drive it." :D

I think you'll be very happy. Keep an eye on the "Meets" schedules and please come join us some time. We have an interesting mix of people from all different walks of life, but, when we get together, it's like we've known each other for years. Of course, some I have, now, thanks to this crazy thng called the internet. :D

I'll be doing all I can to make there!!

It'll be a nice leadin for lafayette in July

I'll be there, and I'll try to pick up some aas on the way. The last Reading meet I was out in Pittsburgh with my 2.5 RS visiting friends. I was looking for SVXs on the way home tho. I should have stopped by on Monday to see anyone was still around. I passed the exit the for Reading on the PA turnpike but on such long drives I felt like just getting home.

I can't wait to see everyone again.

Oh and this time I'll stay at the Holiday inn right there,

don't ask why I didn't stay there the first time.

Wasn't going to mention it - since it didn't happen . . . but about a month ago I came THAT close to selling the SVX.
I had talked myself into it while at work - then I came home, pulled into the garage - and saw it sitting there, looking like . . . well, you all know . . . to me, this is the most beautiful car in the world.
All of the sudden I had the worst feeling in the world . . . knowing that if I sold it - that would be it - I would never find another one like it again.

*sigh*

Won't go into all the events that transpired after that, but the upside is we found a way to keep it . . . what a relief! ;)
Went for a long drive in it last weekend . . . and I knew I had made the right decision, also . . .

I'm shocked, Jerry. And all this time, rallying for Snowshoe II. We're gonna have to have a talk in Canaan. :D
