When I shift my svx to drive position, and sit there without moving, the rpm needle bounces. It seems like the car just wants to turn off. (I remember it did this a couple years ago,too. I forgot to fasten one of the clips on the airbox. )I checked my air filter, I put a k&n drop in about a year ago, and it looks clean. Anybody know why it would do this?

If the symptoms are similar, then, the cause is likely similar. Check for cracks in the plastic portions of the intake.

You might also try cleaning your throttle body. Instructions are within the threads on the Network. Just do a search on "Throttle Body Cleaning."
