Why is my car embarrasing me?

I was at the stop light this morning - and my car was in 2 (I was trying to get it to warm up faster, It was fricken cold)

A neon sport pulled up to me with a squirrel o matic exaust and made it clear he wanted a little morning excitement.

I floored it off the line - and the car just pigged out - never happened before - on my shift into second the front wheels broke free and slipped all the way up to redline - no rear wheels at all.

Does the tranny not split torque to the rear wheels in 2?

Never happened before - the car is much faster in D.

(I still beat the dude)

Any clues?

No AWD....check TCU codes....highly likely that your Solenoid C is "gone"

The trans is always splitting torque front to rear. I agree with Bill's suggestion above. Sounds like your Solenoid C may be malfunctioning. Your front wheels should never spin like that with the awd functioning properly...
