JDM Fairlady Z (rice)

Check this out, he must have imported it or something, I've always wanted to see a real JDM Fairlady Z! And this guy has one at my school. How cool!

BTW I'm being sarcastic and for those of you who have been wanting to know what "rice" is this is what I think it is.

Oh, and I had to edit it (since this is a family site after all):)

Re: JDM Fairlady Z (rice)

This is NOT a Fairlady Z!!!. The original Datsun 240Z, 260Z, 280Z, the Nissan 300ZX and finally the new Nissan 350Z were all designated Fairlady Z's in the JDM. Only the Z-car carried this designation.

Your Altima friend simply picked up a badge frokm somewhere (maybe they ran out of Type R or Uncle Ben stickers) For more info, check these links:

You haven't spent much time with me have you ??? :D

In college I had a 82 Buick Skyhawk. When moving I found a DODGE windshield badge that I had never put on my Shelby Charger, so I put it on the Buick!

That offered about two years of great conversation starters.

I belive the correct rice badge for the Altima would be Bluebird.

But what ricer knows that.

The really scary thing is that the last time I went to the drag strip there was an Altima there with steel wheels on it:rolleyes: I laughed.:D Then I saw his time, he ran like a 13.5  Then I was just happy I didn't have to run next to him.:o

svxhunter 02-21-2004 08:12 PM

Actually, a true RHD Fairlady 240Z recently sold on e-bay for $5500- sorry we all missed it!! I'd have bought it if I could have parted with that kind of dough!!:(

BordeauxComet 02-21-2004 08:26 PM

What's bad is he actually paid for that, because I'm sure he didn't find that laying around. And he could have AT LEAST taken of the Altima badge. But like you said, what would a ricer know?

Whoops, it looks like you forgot about the roadsters... The ORIGINAL Fairlady was a Datsun 1600. The Datsun 2000 roadsters were 150 HP, 5 speed monsters imported to beat MG's, whoops, they ended up in the same class as the Porsce 911's Yep, I'm old...

A lot of people put their race tires on something that doesn't need to look good, namely their original alloys or steel wheels. It's not like you have to worry about a steel wheel flexing on a strip. :)

I'm about to put whatever cheap wheel I can for my Justy for its race tires. Steel, alloy, I don't really care. :)
