Svx wanted

I'm a serious BUYER..

I want a low Mileage, Lsi or Lsi, with all the options.
I have used an SVX as My daily driver since 1994 and owned 8 of them.
I'm 74 now too old for a project car or a street racer.
I just want to have a NICE reliable vehicle without a ton of problems.

Here is a really nice one in Kutztown, PA. They are asking way too much money for it IMO but that can always be negotiated.

This one is nice too, but again it's more than I would pay for it.

Re: Svx wanted

I fear that anything with low mileage now is a bit of a project car. The first thing needed on a low mileage SVX is a major service, followed by all the usual other issues to address. I'm starting to wonder if the sweet sport is around 150K miles (major service done, transmission replaced, etc.) and just expect to get 50K out of it with just oil/tires/brakes for maintenance.

I also wonder about picking up a low mileage car, then paying $10K-$15k to have it restored/resto-moded by some company.

I'm currently working on a 1992 with 37K miles on it. By time I have the car I deserve, I will probably have spent $15K on it.... I wonder if there is a market for $15K-20K SVXs? If so I would pick up a few and have them all restored/restomoded together (economies of scale..?).

Good luck!

Threads like this make me consider selling mine. Its currently sitting in the garage waiting for me to make time to fix the fuel issue. I feel bad everytime I walk by it.

Here is one that might fit your bill. Looks to be a low mileage LS-L
1995 white. Looks like they were using seat covers as well as a steering wheel cover. Price seems on target.

If it has good service history, might be worth a closer look. It’s far from you, but at least it’s still on your side of the coast. Lol

Either he has the year wrong or it is a repaint.

There were no 1995 Pearlies.

There was a White 1994, but this looks like it was originally Polo Green, from looking at the the top of the front shock mounts. White with a black top is a really nice look for the SVX.

Good luck with the car hunt!

Terrible paint job. Over spray on fender liner, the carpet in the trunk, and paint peeling on the outside of the trunk. And they didn't even paint the strut mounts and they painted the rear tow hooks.

Ooo, I see that now. Closeup of the engine compartment shows it clearly.
Man, that’s crazy.
