Re: what to drive - v 5.0

Pros:

92 SVX - it's an SVX, good sound system, comfortable, don't care if i put 1300 miles on it, decent gas mileage
97 SVX - it's an SVX, good sound system, comfortable
05 FXT - crazy fast, great sound system, lots of cargo space
07 Optima - good gas mileage and regular unleaded fuel use

Cons:

92 SVX - age
97 SVX - do i really want to put 1300 miles on it?
05 FXT - horrible gas mileage, uncomfortable seats, and loud
07 Optima - no iPod headunit

What tournament? I wish I was in Tulsa, then we could have a mini-meet. But I wont be moving back to T-Town for about another month or two

I've never quite gotten the bit about owning a low mileage car, and then being afraid to put a few miles on it. It isn't like you are going to commute with the 97 SVX... Just a good trip.

But you do have 2 SVXs to choose from, and a turbo Forester. Why leave all of the fun cars at home to drive a kia?

I wish I had your problem.

It is better than what to save for first:
New clutch for the Legacy GT
New struts and springs for the LGT
Paying off the last bit of student loans, which is the last non-mortgage debt...
High-def TV to replace my old CRT
SVX project car purchase.

Or sell off the LGT, buy the SVX, and the TV and pay off the debt... and rely on a rare 12-17 year old car to commute with... Maybe get a non-turbo old Forester 5-speed to drive in the winter...

The SVX was made for road work... pick one and drive it, man!

i'm kinda over owning and maintaining multiple cars, so after i drive the 92 svx and forester into the ground, the 97 will go into daily driver service.

as for your deal, i'd go the selling of the LGT route except without buying the tv. i won't be buying an hdtv until i have to.

This is only v 5.0?
I thought you have more than that.
Why don't you have options such as
rent a car, flight, train and walk this time? :D

I voted of your 92 5mt, if not, your Kia optima, not a bad car too.

After my experience with the Kia rental car the past couple nights:D I must say that Kia has earned my respect. I will never buy one but after what we did to that '08 Kia Rio and it was still running fine and somehow avoided any true damage. I must say its not so terrible... Oh and I will be starting a thread in the not exactly... forum in about a month from now to show pictures and links to video:D Don't want Enterprise knowing what happened to the poor Kia while I had it. At least not for awhile:lol:
