Fog light

Mr driver's side fog light appears to be burned out. Changing the bulb doesn't look as simple as on some other cars. Can anyone give me a clue as to how to go about replacing the bulb? Thanks.

Let the radiator cool before doing anything or else you will burn your hands.

- the bulb is located behind a white cover. You have to turn the cover until the little arrow is pointing up and then it comes off.

- there is a little metal clip that holds the bulb in place. This must be unhooked.

- the bulb has an orientation so keep note of that.

- the hardest part is holding the new bulb in the correct spot while clipping it in place.

I've skipped a few steps but they should be obvious.

FYI

I'd just like to add that you should connect the wire on the bulb before inserting it into the housing or disconnect the negative battery cable before replacing the bulb.

I was feverishly trying to replace a bulb before a meet and I noticed a little spark coming off of the spade connector on the H3's wire while I was trying to lock the little pin in place to hold the bulb. Upon inspection, the bulb was then burned out.

Thanks guys for the great advice. Do you know what bulb I need on hand before I start this job?

Yes, it's an H3 35W although I've been using 100W bulbs for some time now.
