Repining ecu plug?
Durring my swap i have a lot of wires that are matted together and looming for a cleaner way to do it. Can you pop the pins out of the connector and resolder wires in? Are the pins clipped in or pressed in? Can i get more pins somewhere?

Re: Repining ecu plug?
The pins come out with some patience. A little more patience and you can "uncrimp" the old wires.
I'm sure you can get replacement pins, but it may not be easy... You may want to check with Subaru. I was reading a post on someone adding a lighted key ring to their steering column and for part of the rewiring, they got a pack of pins for one of the connectors. Not the same pins as the ECU uses, but the point is that SOA is able to provide some pins. If not from SOA, some time on google or are there any "electronic" store around here? I don't know of any?? Like radio shack, but for pro's/geeks. |

Alright thanks i should of just asked you in the first place. Lol. I will have to google more or call SOA.

Re: Repining ecu plug?
If you find subaru uncooperative, try Nissan, they probably used the same pins.

Re: Repining ecu plug?
Not sure about the SVX, but when I was doing the trans swap in the Baja, I discovered that the ECU used at least two different sized pins.
