Pets in their SVX

Just curious as if any members allow their pets, dogs, cats in there SVX. I have a Labrador Retriever, and the only way I would let her in the SVX was in an emergency situation, and I would have to fold down the rear seats and put a blanket down. Thats what Legacy Wagons are great for. Have the factory dog fence in my 94 Touring Wagon, so when I run into the store, she doesnt roam all over my car. :D

I used to have a Lab, but I would not allow it in my SVX! Not unless it was a life and death situation. (my life or death) :D :D :D

Dogs

My dogs go with me everywhere I drive my pickup, but don't get to ride in the SVXs. Of course I drive the pickup most of the time and do love my dogs dearly. Shhhhhhh---don't tell them I called them Dogs---they don't know it. :D

My dog is only allowed in the back seat (back seat folded down of course) hes a smaller dog so its not a big deal, I can crack the window alittle and hes occupied. Oh yeah, hes only allowed in the '95 because its an L model with cloth seats :)

I usually take my two cats in the car with me on the way to the vet...It's better to keep them in a pet carrier...Once I let the cat out of the carrier in the car and she jumped onto the dashboard and layed there, then started exploring everywhere....she even got under the brake pedal and I almost got into an accident

I have a no drinks, food, or dirty hands policy for the SVX with one exclusion. My puppy got bit by a poisonous snake last summer while our truck was out of town. He and i road in the back seat for almost an hour while my mother drove (another strange occurrence) He got bit Saturday evening but it didnt become apparent until sunday morning when it had become so swollen the skin was beginning to split so we had to visit the emergency clinic. They shaved all his hair off and cut the skin open to relieve the pressure. So we road the hour back home that day with a dog with an open oozing wound in the SVX. Following day we took him to our regular vet for follow up care so again more open dog wounds in the back seat. We went every other day for two weeks with this poor dog in my back seat trying to save his limb. My rear carpet is a total loss but he managed to keep the leg even after loosing all the flesh and muscle off of it.

So yes and no. If its a matter of losing my dog (which would have happened had he not gotten treatment) he may ride but there are no joy rides for Drifter.

Well our dogs are very much part of our family NO they arent allowed in the SVX, the explorer has dried dog slobber, (pitt bull drool) all over the windows and its really hard to remove! Not to mention nose prints where she looses her footing and her nose hits the windshield! SVX NO WAY! I like my windows clean and carpet hair free. It has some sort of pet hair in it from where I bought it, it keeps appearing no matter how many times I vacumn it!
We are getting a new member of the family on Saturday. Hes an olde english bulldogge. Hes coming from Baltimore. And he wont be allowed in the SVX either. :D

My dog is allowed in the car. There is one condition, I need a passenger to hold her. She is a small dog and I don't want her all over the car when I turn. Also if it is not my idea to get her in, the person holding her must vaccuum the car, she is white and her hair gets all over my grey.
