super sticky tires
I didn't realize how sticky my tires were till yesterday when I went to drive home, back up and go forward, all of a sudden I feel this funny feeling from my front passenger side, so pull over get out, and take a look. I had ripped up a peice of tar right out of the road and it spun around my tire several time  Needless to say that was fun taking off
Temp was 93 at the time according to the SVX |
What tires do you run?

Yesterday it was about 98-99F in Phila. It supposed to be hotter today. The surface of US 95N buckled in a spot near Chester PA. They repaved it. I hit it this morning at 65 mph after it had rebuckled. I stopped & checked the car. Everything seems ok.
The absolute stickiest tires I had were TOYO Proxes T-1S. They are basically slicks with chevron grooves cut into them. They were absolutely fantastic in dry and rain. They were only fair in 6" of snow. They are only 'Summer Tires" but I ran then all year around. They lasted about 28,000 miles and they were expensive. Larry III |

280,000 miles on your Proxes is better than average. :D I am glad I put them on my car. By the way, how many miles do you have on that car of yours anyway? (sorry, I couldn't resist):) |
Earl,
Now where did that decimal point go ? Larry III PS: The '92 Pearly (SVXY) has 104,000.00 miles on it The '97 Bordeaux (SUBYDOO) has 43,000.00 miles on it |
