Extended warranty company
 

I found an extended warranty company which will give me an extended warranty on my SVX with 146,000 miles on it. There are 3 plans: one is a 5 year/100,000 mile on the complete powertrain/engine and transmission for $795.00. This is a $0 deductible and includes rental, towing etc. and has a total lifetime limit of $5000...$3000 for the engine (aggregate) and $2000 for the transmission (aggregate) All plans begin with present mileage and date of policy issuance. (I find it hard to believe that they would cover my SVX powertrain up to 246,000 miles or the year 2006 for a little less than $800.00)

The other 2 plans are more comprehensive, covering all other systems such as air conditioning, steering, electrical, fuel, CV joints, etc. This plan runs $965.00 for 12 mo/ 12,000 miles and $1170.00 for 2 yr/24,000 miles with a $100 deductible per visit. Limits of liability are $2,500 per claim and $4,500 lifetime.

Repairs can be done at any repair shop or dealership in the United States or Canada. Payment will be made to the repair facility by the warranty administrator's Corporate Visa card account.
