ABS code 3, help troubleshooting.

I have the FSM so I thought this will be easy, but nooo...
1) Found the LED, flashing code 3
2) book says "Broken or shorted solenoid circuit in hydraulic unit - Right Rear wheel"
3) located "check connector" B34 in the driver's side foot well, biggest black connector there, 20 pin
4) turned the ignition on tried grounding pin 12 tried several ground locations eventually going all the way to the battery to be sure I had a good ground, could not hear the click (yes I cycled the ignition switch as directed in FSM). so I decided to try pin 2 (for trouble code 1) to hear what I needed to listen for, still not hearing the click.

Any suggestions or other options would be appreciated at this point, as to where to go next.

Possible relay failure or lack of power to the relay? The solenoid should be powered by the relay

Thanks Tom, I will check the relay later today, but I would have thought that that should give either a no flashes or a code 10.

I may take the hydraulic unit out of the parts car and hook it up electrically to see if that solves the problem. I just do not want to open up the hydraulic side unless I have to.

If you have the schematic check resistance scross the solenoud in qusetion and also check resistance to grnd while it is unplugged

Re: ABS code 3, help troubleshooting.

so, I have power to the main power connector of the hydraulic unit, and when I provide power to each solenoid in hear a very quiet click (really easy to hear from the driver's seat on the other side of the car where the "check connector" is  ). That leaves me with a wiring issue or a problem with the ABS control unit, no time to remove the seat and check the control unit today, it will have to wait until next weekend :(
