windshield gasket/seal
 

im in need of a new front windshield and found one here in vegas
the only problem is that it is only the glass
question
could i re-use the old one or does anyone know if this part is available on the aftermarket/dealer type networks

I don't know for sure, but I have heard that new ones are not available and they reuse the old ones as long as they don't get damaged. Maybe someone who knows for sure will let us know. :)

The only way that they are available from Subaru is attached to a new windshield.

The installer needs to know that he has to reuse the gasket, when he pulls the cracked glass.

I had mine replaced without the gasket. The auto glass shop used a special caulking seal and finished it off very nicely.
