Good job Tray! You got me signed up right. Call me so I can give you some money :) Can't wait to go driving!

p.s. Last night I raced some old POS car with 5 homies in it :) They passed me and then I just raped their car!

BTW... does somebody have the damn digital clock ? Mine is broken. I have to push it in really hard to get it to work. If somebody has one and wants to sell it to me, please bring it to the meet :D

I talked to Mychailo and he is still thinking of driving over to see us at the camp site. :) He is only 2 hrs away. :)

Meeting Time

We have planned on 10:00am for the meeting time on Saturday morning.

Is that going to work for everyone? It generally is a much better experience for all involved when everyone shows up on time so I want to make sure this time is realistic.

If anyone still needs directions to Earl's house (the starting point), let one of us know.

sounds good to me :>

Weird sighting?

Hi guys! My friend told me that she saw a bunch of cars like mine (SVX's of course) drive by Seattle on I-5 a couple of days ago on Saturday. They were headed South. I freaked out for a minute thinking I misunderstood the Sept. 6th meet or something. Any ideas? Earl, are you moving :D

BTW, I just got back from an Oregon coast trip. It was AWESOME :) Finally I got to know my car and enjoyed every bit of it (except the damn noisy bearing). This is the best car I've driven on a long trip. Especially cool when slamming down the accelerator and dropping down to 2nd to pass :) I also took it out on so many little curvy roads that my friends almost puked! Good stuff!

It wasn't me.

If any of you have one or two of the family frequency FM radios, toss them in when you come to the meet. That way we can stay in touch when we are driving. It is nice to know if someone needs to stop so we don't leave them without knowing it. We will decide on a chanel when we are here.

Anyone else sign up or say they wanted to go? This is really going to be a great drive. I am really looking forward to it. :)

Don't have any radios but I know most of us have the cell phones, right? That could work as a backup plan. By saying FM do you mean that we could tune in with our CAR radios to a certain frequency? Cool!

ensteele 09-01-2003 11:19 PM

No Nick, it is a type of radio. Not a CB, but different. I have a few of them and if others have a couple we might have enough for everybody. If not, it will be fine if a few of us have them. Yes, the Cell phones will be a good back up. Get that silver one waxed up real nice for the drive! :)

WestCoastSVX 09-03-2003 10:54 AM

Just wanted to check in and let everyone know that this is going to be a great drive. If anyone on the sign up list in this thread is not going to make it, please let us know so we aren't waiting for you on Saturday morning. ;)

Oh yeah! It's gonna rock! A few quick questions:

1. Are we going to be able to cook at the campsite? I hope we can make a big camp fire.

2. Are alcoholic beverages permitted in WA state parks, or should we just bring plastic cups for that?

Thanks!

-Nick

I think plastic cups are in order. I don't know if fires will be allowed or not. We may not be able to have one. I am bringing a small stove for hot water and coffee. :)
