nice. she wasn't crazy about the leather seats, but its in really nice condition, so she will deal.

i may throw the WRX wheels on this thing - i like them better.

I absolutely love my '05 Forester XT. Great car.

i'd prefer to not have leather too, but i don't want to give up the heated mirrors / wipers. the sunroof on the limited is a big bonus, though. :D

the sunroof is cool. i didn't even bother to get a sunroof on my LGT, but the one in the FXT is HUGE.

it felt kinda slow, but i'm used to my beastie. its smoother than the WRX, doesn't have that "WHOA, turbo kicked in!" lag.

i still miss my LGT. i haven't ruled out a wagon or OBXT, but i think i can find a more affordable FXT. when the sonata's gone, i may just have to import one. prices seem high in colorado.

any "common problems" to look out for? i saw something about squeaky window seals that's easily fixed with some plastic tubing....

banjo bolt - check it out on the forester forum or scooby mods. It affected 04 and early 05 models. http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/sho...ght=banjo+bolt



Also - ditch the stock rear sway bar and endlinks/mounts for STi or whatever else is hot right now. The stock sti bar works fine, some have gone bigger. It makes a huge difference in the "aghh - this piece of crap is gonna roll over" feel of the forester.

Have fun with it! It's a fun little car to drive. The sunroof is awesome.

no dice on mods - its the wife's car - she would even let me do anything to the WRX, although i did remove the air intake silencer when she wasn't looking. :D

we're gonna try again to find a house in the spring, and that means trips to Home Depot and Lowe's .....
the WRX is kinda spartan, so some creature comforts for her will be nice.
