smallcar grille on your car?
 

I wanted to see if anyone could post some pictures of the small car grille on their car, and get some feedback on what they think.

I just had one delivered a couple of days ago. I'll post pics once instaled. they do have pics on their site........

I just ordered one. When it comes in I'll put it on the wife's svx and do a side by side of my 97 grill and her smallcar grill.

That should be interesting, I have one, but still need to get paint and find the time to prep, paint and install it :p

I am really hoping the black primer is a close match for the ebony. :eek: I am lazy.

Did everyone pay the retail price directly from SmallCar? I think that is $180. Just wondered. :confused:

I paid $142.00. :mad: they are on e-bay for alot cheaper ;)

I got mine on ebay for less than the website price also.

Now I know who outbid me! :eek: :D :D ;)

Small Car Grille
 

Here are some pictures of my Smallcar grille installed, but not painted (BTW, do you think I should try to paint it myself or just take it to a shop?). The first picture shows where the grille attaches, it is held in by clips at the top and just sits into the holes at the bottom. Right now I don't have the clips in there because I can't seem to get them into the new grille. Installation of the grille is very easy other than the two annoying clips.

Actually they were very cool - I got snipered in the auction and then I saw in "my ebay" they sent me a second chance to buy it at the same price that the other guy got it for. I took it - it was a great deal.

Did you install the grille as it comes out of the box?

I just got mine on monday and I was disappointed to see it is only a fake plastic mesh with little 1/4" drilled holes, especially because I bought it to get more fresh air to the cooler. At least it fits very good into the cars holes.

So it took me three hours yesterday fist to drill bigger holes, then fully open the mesh with my dremel and sand the holes. I also opened e few additional holes. I roughly calculated this increased the area of air-throughput by factor 3.5
