572.4 gallons of gasoline

That's how much fuel I pumped into the teal SVX between August 16, 2005 and August 15, 2006, over the course of driving 12,382.7 miles, for an average of 21.63 MPG.

The best mileage I recorded was 31.65 MPG over a 66.8 mile run. Second best was 31.22 over 114.9 miles. Obviously, these were open Interstate runs with a top-off at each end. The worst was 17.11 MPG. That was one of two sub-18 instances; best I can figure is that I spent an inordinate amount of time idling mindlessly at the Taco Bell drive-thru.

On June 6 and June 19 of this year I drove the same 206.8 mile route and recorded 26.81 and 27.03 MPG respectively. That's consistency.

I buy the cheapest gas around; usually Marathon, occasionally Racetrack. As to grades, I loaded 364.61 gallons of 93 octane, 107.17 gallons of 89 octane, and 100.62 gallons of 87 octane, which by my figuring works-out to a mean of just over 91. Running straight 93 octane in this car is like dropping a dollar bill at every trip to the pump and not bothering to pick it up.

I'm still working on my first tank in the silver. It'll be interesting to see how she compares.

579.3 gallons of gasoline
That's how much fuel I pumped into my SVX between August 16, 2005 and August 15, 2006, over the course of driving 12,508.8 miles, for an average of 21.59 MPG.

The best mileage I recorded was 27.03 MPG over a 361.0 mile run. Second best was 26.48 over 471.6 miles. The worst was 17.24 MPG. That was one of four sub-18 instances.

On November 24 and December 1 of last year I recorded 21.83 and 21.89 MPG respectively. That's consistency.

I buy the cheapest gas around; usually Husky, occasionally Mohawk. As to grades, I loaded 40.58 gallons of 92 octane and 538.72 gallons of 94 octane, which by my figuring works-out to a mean of 93.86. Running straight 94 octane in this car costs me no more than regular 87 octane due to the deal I get at this particular gas station every thursday.

Only about 500 gallons more than I put in mine and the race car over that time. I'd say I averaged about 12mpg between the two though.:D Sitting does wonders for dropping your mileage.

*Numbers may be fudged to reflect my horrible, horrible gas mileage which hovers between 11-15 mpg. Nothing like going 140 miles on $60 worth of gas.

I just can't stop laughing. Now that's funny!! :D :D

And I'm with you. I averaged 15mpg on two separate SVX's, and still averaging it.

I'll try to keep more thorough records on the silver.:D
