Transaxle Program?
 

Just registered at Autozone.com. THey have a list of TSB's (though not the TSB's themselves -- trying to sell Alldata) for the SVX. I came across these two, with which I was unfamiliar. Does anyone have details on these two TSB's?:

A/T - 4EAT Remanufactured Transaxle Program 16-63-99 04/19/99


A/T - 4EAT Remanufactured Transaxle Available 16-63-99R 08/05/00

I think I read those and if memory serves (how seldom it does nowadays :rolleyes: ) those were Subaru's official announcements of their remanufactured '92 transmissions.

Okay, guys, I was able to look at the actual TSBs and they are:

APPLICABILITY: 4-EAT Vehicles
SUBJECT: 4-EAT Remanufactured Transaxle Program
Subaru of America, Inc. has now made available remanufactured automatic transmissions for most Subaru models starting from 1990 MY vehicles. Please check applications and availability through normal parts channels prior to making vehicle repairs.

DATE: 04-19-99
APPLICABILITY: 4-EAT Vehicles
SUBJECT: 4-EAT Remanufactured Transaxle Program

There are some differences in the bodies of the TSBs, primarily about where the core gets sent for proper credit. Unfortunately, they don't mention giving free remanufactured transmissions to nice guys like us.

Randy, I have occasional access to the TSBs and if you need to know about what any others say, PM me and I'll try to find out.
