WTB wiring harness/ecu/alternator
I'm dropping an EG33 into my xt6. I saved the engine from a "totalled" svx.
I still need an ecu, a wiring harness, and an alternator from an OBDI, as the engine is a '93. Reasonably priced of course  Ohh! And an svx hood emblem http://www.cartype.com/pics/1589/sma...svx_emblem.jpg I'll be needing to throw one of those somewhere on the exterior as well. |
Re: WTB wiring harness/ecu/alternator
i have a core you can get rebuilt if you need

Re: WTB wiring harness/ecu/alternator
I have a spare engine harness, but I don't know what year it's for. If I had to guess I'd say 92, but I'm not sure... Any well to tell by looking at it if its OBDI or II?

Main thing is, getting a 92 ECU so no need to mess with the EGR temp sensor, but the actual dash harness is fine from 92-95 for sure, and possibly 96. |

@STeel25T how much would you be willing to part with yours for? (Assuming it is in fact OBDI ) |
Re: WTB wiring harness/ecu/alternator
He means a core of an alternator. What most here have been doing is sending cores off to maniac electric to have them rebuilt when they die. They do really good rebuilds.

And how much will it run me to have it rebuilt? |
Re: WTB wiring harness/ecu/alternator
$50 plus shipping would be fine with me.

Re: WTB wiring harness/ecu/alternator
Best place by far for alternators for the SVX is Maniac Electric Motors. Without a core, it is $149.00 shipped.
If you have an old core to return, you will get a $60.00 credit and your final price would be only $89.00. In your case, the first option is definitely the cheapest way to go. No sense to pay $50.00 for a used core plus shipping when you will only get $60.00 as credit. http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...16&postcount=3 As for the hood emblem, the place that usually has them is motorsport warehouse. About $105.00 each. These are getting much harder to find. http://svx-motorsport-accessories.st...jdmalhoem.html . |
