This may have been posted here before but I recently spotted it.
Guigiaro went to the Ford side: http://www.yearone.com/news.asp?nsl=...dp.asp?AID=132 pay no mind that I was surfing YearOne.... |
Yeah we saw the PB and no J Mustang with mustang hide (not really) seats.
Exterior is [win] Interior is [fail] I'm waiting for it to transform. |
I'm amazed that so many from the US do not seem to warm to this design study.
It's been posted up here before, and commonly most people think the interior is too bizarre or too bling or something. I saw the car in the flesh last year at a show and it stopped me in my tracks. I thought it was beautiful, and I even liked the interior. [It was extravagant like most show cars, but colour wise and theme wise it was appropriate] Could it be that a lot of you car nuts in the US are like us Irish, horse lovers who could not come to emotional terms with sitting on the hide of a dead horse? Joe:) |
Giugiaro is AMAZING! He is truely the best designer of all!
I think the design took him a lot of effort to pull it the way it looks now. I think this guy is one of the few if not first in pulling an Italian American Retro design. I can clearly see some of Ferrari's Lamborghini's lines in an originally US car. Thumbs up for that imagination  |
yea i quite like it :)

I'd rock that in a heartbeat.

I read an article in Motor Trend of Automobile I forget which, but it was on this car. When he made it he said he used real horse hide just to make it seem that much more meaningful, but it's really cow hide. So we don't have to worry about PETA getting in on this. I like the whole thing except for the interior color.

I really like the outside but I think he stole a lot of lines from the bmw 6. Inside is gross but concept cars always have gaudy interiors that do not make it to production.
|
the best giugiaro design is the timeless lotus esprit, add an s2000 4 w/ 9k rpm and we may just have the best road car.
