Yes I saw this, mileage a bit high though I was going to e-mail him to ask how much he was charged for the gearbox I expect it was more than he is selling the car for. Can't see it selling as I had mine up a while ago for £3000 with only 91,000kms although mine is an older model.
Just checked this advert its cheaper the one in the Autotrader had the car at £3000 it also stated the new gearbox which is not stated in this advert.

I caught a glimpse of one on e-bay going for £615 at the time, others you see for £1500-£2500 I suppose its a sign of the times, secondhand car dealers I know say the market is dead so I guess its just a reflection of the overall market. If only more people knew what a brilliant car they are they would snap them up at the bargain basement prices they are going for at the moment.

That car was up for sale some months ago. He was asking a price that you would not get for a 60,000 mile SVX, never mind a 160,000 car, something like 4.5K!!

It shows the high opinion he has of the SVX which is fair enough, he has friends here in that regard. However it also shows that at that stage he had less than zero knowledge of the flat state of the market.

Also his remark about Subaru changing to an all red colour scheme because it is Giugiaro designed comes off a little pompous. Does he not realise that Black over Silver is a favourite Giugiaro colour scheme, practically a Giugiaro trademark?

It looks a very nice car and I hope he gets a good price for minding it so well. The wood dash would put me off even at a correct price. I prefer darker woods, that's a bit bright for me, although it would probably look great with the beige interiors and the tan leathers that are in the States.

My thoughts exactly, ahmed I'm suprised your car hasn't sold with the gas conversion on it as well but I suppose it just reflects the current market.

Correct.

Ahmed's car is a bargain in this context. Nothing seems to be selling these days, cash is scarce.

thanks for the positive remarks, however my car does need some paintwork plus a 120k full service, worse still it can be used as a doner car!
