Yeah, the SVX shouldn't be a popular car for thieves looking to make their money off the car's parts. But for 'joyriders,' who seem to make up less of the car-stealing demographic, I think it's attractive.

Looks as if they discontinued the Chevy Camaro!!:D

Does anyone have the hugggggeeee 50 page or more article on the making of the svx? I saw it somewhere they had stuff like how the gas tank was resistant to overheating and how they blasted the body with elements such as extreme cold and heat.

Does anyone know where it was?

"the SVX book"

Hi

Someone has posted the entire book on this site but God knows where it is...

It was commissioned by Subaru North America and done by Road and Track and I have 1 copy from Subaru Canada and a second from a Subaru North America source.

Try Randy or Mike as they are the true SVXperts and they can probably get you to the site and you can print off what you need

Good Luck!!!

Go to any post by "Earthworm." He has a site listed in his sig (SVX Info Warehouse, or something like that). Click on it. The entire R&T Guide to the SVX is there.

No need to break in!

Those Camry models from '87-'91 were, as I recall, the ones with about a TOTAL of 6 different key codes from the factory, were they not?

Sometimes replacement keys are 2 for a buck around here...

Kinda' like the YELLOW bikes you see laying around in all the politically Co-rectum cities (like Portland!) on occasion!

STEAL ME!
